Develop and maintain project schedules and planning activities to ensure timely project execution. Review project drawings and specifications, providing feedback on design, scheduling, cost-saving opportunities, and potential construction challenges. Assist the estimation team in preparing accurate project budgets. Prepare the general conditions budget for project execution. Support the setup of the site office and arrange the necessary equipment and facilities. Communicate confidently with clients, consultants, and the design team while effectively leading subcontractors and construction trades. Monitor and update the project construction schedule on a weekly basis to track progress and identify potential delays. Identify and discuss key project issues during site meetings to ensure timely resolution. Prepare and distribute the minutes of all site meetings, and promptly notify consultants or clients of any errors, inconsistencies, or omissions in design drawings. Monitor site safety and ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all applicable safety regulations. Ensure all required testing and inspections are completed and properly documented throughout the project. Prepare monthly progress claims and invoices for consultants and clients, including final retention or holdback documentation. Maintain high construction standards by enforcing effective quality control procedures throughout the project. Oversee the security, maintenance, and proper operation of company-owned equipment at the project site in coordination with the project team. Monitor and control labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure adherence to the project budget. Prepare monthly cost forecasts and financial summaries for project management. Ensure as-built drawings are continuously updated by all trades during construction and submit final close-out documentation to the consultant or project owner upon completion. Coordinate and ensure the completion of all required municipal inspections. Prepare, monitor, and expedite the resolution of project deficiency lists to facilitate successful project completion.
