Senior Executive /Assistant Manager – Surveillance (Pre-Sales)

Experience

✔ Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on professional experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, technical project engineering, or a related role within the IP video surveillance and electronic security systems industry

Industry & Product Expertise

✔ Strong hands-on technical knowledge of IP video surveillance hardware and software solutions, including UG Guard, DSS Express/Pro, SmartPSS, IP Cameras, Thermal Cameras, NVRs, VMS, and CMS

✔ Experience working with other leading surveillance and security brands such as Lilin, Uniview, Dahua, Hikvision, Axis, or Hanwha will also be considered

✔ Practical experience with CCTV systems, IP surveillance, video management systems, access control, thermal imaging, and AI-powered video analytics

Technical Competencies

✔ CAD & Design Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD or 2D/3D layout and design tools for preparing camera coverage maps, site layouts, equipment placement plans, and surveillance system designs

✔ Network & Storage Calculations: Ability to accurately calculate network bandwidth, video storage requirements, RAID configurations, H.265+ compression requirements, PoE/PoE+ power budgets, and camera lens focal lengths

✔ Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, subnetting, routing, ONVIF standards, network switch configuration, Fiber Ethernet, and Ethernet network topology

✔ Security Systems: Hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control Systems, CCTV solutions, and AI-based video analytics

✔ Strong understanding of IP camera configuration, NVR/XVR setup, VMS/CMS integration, network infrastructure, and surveillance system architecture

Soft Skills

✔ Excellent technical presentation, communication, and technical storytelling skills in both Bengali and English

✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with the capability to translate complex client business and technical requirements into practical, scalable, and cost-effective solution architectures

✔ Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to conduct technical discussions, product demonstrations, site assessments, and solution presentations

Mobility & Field Work

✔ Willingness to travel across Bangladesh for customer meetings, technical site surveys, project assessments, product demonstrations, POCs, and major deployment kickoffs

Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Specialist – Surveillance Solutions will be responsible for technical solution design, product positioning, BOQ preparation, site surveys, tender/RFP evaluation, and technical client support for the company’s surveillance product portfolio

The role will serve as a key link between client requirements, sales objectives, product solutions, and technical implementation, supporting projects across corporate, government, education, commercial, and other institutional sectors in Bangladesh

Key Responsibilities

A. Site Surveys & Technical Field Audit

✔ Conduct detailed physical and network site surveys at client premises to assess project requirements and technical feasibility

✔ Evaluate surveillance coverage areas and determine optimal CCTV camera locations, viewing angles, lens types, camera resolution, and required coverage

✔ Assess network infrastructure, structured cabling routes, power distribution, PoE requirements, UPS capacity, equipment locations, and camera mounting conditions

✔ Identify site-specific technical constraints and recommend practical solutions based on project requirements

B. BOQ Preparation & System Architecture

✔ Design end-to-end technical solutions for IP CCTV, Analog CCTV, NVR, XVR, VMS, video wall, and access control integration projects

✔ Prepare accurate and detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), hardware specifications, product lists, technical datasheets, and compliance matrices

✔ Develop System Architecture Diagrams, network diagrams, equipment layouts, and technical solution documents based on project requirements

✔ Select suitable surveillance products, components, and accessories based on technical specifications, site conditions, performance requirements, and budget considerations

✔ Ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, scalable, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements

C. Client Engagement & Technical Presentations

✔ Accompany the Product Manager and Sales Team during key customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions

✔ Conduct technical walkthroughs and explain proposed CCTV, surveillance, video management, AI analytics, and security solutions to clients

✔ Address complex technical questions, clarify product specifications, assess site limitations, and validate project requirements

✔ Support the sales team in understanding customer needs and converting technical requirements into practical and commercially viable solutions

✔ Deliver product presentations, solution demonstrations, and technical briefings to customers and stakeholders

D. Partner & Vendor Coordination

✔ Act as a technical point of contact with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and local/regional technical teams

✔ Coordinate with OEM partners regarding Special Pricing Approval (SPA), engineering support, product specifications, firmware and software compatibility, and technical validation

✔ Coordinate with vendors and principals to confirm product availability, technical specifications, compatibility, pricing, and solution feasibility

✔ Stay informed about new products, technology updates, firmware/software releases, product roadmaps, and surveillance solution developments

✔ Monitor global surveillance technology trends, competitor product portfolios, and Bangladesh market dynamics to support product positioning and business development

E. RFP, POC & Tender Technical Compliance

✔ Review and evaluate RFPs, RFQs, tender documents, technical specifications, and customer requirements to determine solution compliance and feasibility

✔ Prepare technical documentation, compliance matrices, product catalog submissions, technical specifications, and bid responses for private and public sector tenders

✔ Ensure proposed products and solutions meet relevant tender specifications, client requirements, and technical compliance criteria

✔ Identify technical gaps, deviations, and clarification requirements in tender and RFP documents and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution

F. Proof of Concept & Product Demonstration

✔ Configure, install, and demonstrate Proof of Concept (POC) solutions for prospective customers

✔ Conduct live demonstrations of surveillance technologies and AI-powered video analytics

✔ Demonstrate solutions including Perimeter Protection, Face Recognition, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Heat Mapping, and other intelligent video analytics

✔ Support customers in evaluating system performance, features, integrations, and technical capabilities during POC and product demonstrations

✔ Document POC findings, customer feedback, technical observations, and recommended improvements for further solution development
