  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably within the Furniture, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Large Corporate sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, VAT regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Practical experience in inventory accounting, accounts receivable management, fund control, and working capital management.
  • Experience in reviewing and monitoring purchase-related transactions, vendor payments, and procurement financial documentation.
  • Familiarity with banking operations, including fund transfers, loan documentation, bank reconciliation, and coordination with financial institutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate salary processing, employee benefits administration, and related financial activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with organizational policies, financial procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and manage the accounting operations of the Furniture Factory and other business units, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to company policies.
  • Maintain and monitor accounting records, financial transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, creditor and debtor balances, and other related accounting activities.
  • Oversee cash management functions, including expense payments, cash balance monitoring, cash verification, recording, and reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly budgets, fund requisitions, cash flow statements, and financial performance reports.
  • Ensure proper recording, monitoring, and physical verification of fixed assets, inventories, and company resources.
  • Supervise store and inventory operations to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, spare parts, and operational supplies.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation regulations, VAT requirements, and other statutory obligations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with banks and financial institutions while coordinating banking transactions and related activities.
  • Support internal and external audit processes and ensure timely implementation of audit observations and recommendations.
  • Prepare financial summaries, Management Information System (MIS) reports, and other management reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and performance monitoring for Accounts Officers, Executives, and other finance team members to ensure efficient departmental operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost control, and financial efficiency across business operations.
  • Perform any additional finance and accounting responsibilities assigned by management.
