Additional Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of practical experience in HR, Administration, Compliance, or the Garment/Textile industry.
- Experience in factory HR & Compliance and buyer/social compliance audits will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law and Labor Rules.
- Good understanding of social compliance requirements and international buyer standards.
- Practical experience in social/compliance audit preparation and CAP follow-up.
- Strong knowledge of HR documentation and employee management.
- Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of both Bangla and English, in written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Honest, responsible, disciplined, proactive, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities & Context
- Oversee all HR and Compliance functions across the organization.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, company rules, and applicable labor law requirements.
- Manage manpower planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee documentation.
- Maintain attendance, leave, overtime records, personal files, HR reports, and management information.
- Handle employee discipline, grievances, counseling, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, Labor Rules, and other relevant regulations.
- Plan and coordinate factory social compliance audits conducted by buyers and external auditors.
- Conduct regular internal compliance inspections, identify gaps, and develop appropriate Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
- Follow up on audit observations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed within the required timeframe.
- Monitor workplace health and safety, fire safety, emergency preparedness, PPE, first aid, and overall working conditions.
- Coordinate with Fire Service, DIFE, Department of Environment, and other relevant government authorities.
- Ensure proper worker welfare facilities, including canteen, transportation, sanitation, drinking water, toilets, and other essential amenities.
- Implement ethical workplace standards covering anti-harassment, non-discrimination, child labor, forced labor, and workers’ rights.
- Organize employee orientation, training, awareness sessions, and compliance-related programs.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Administration, Accounts, Security, and other departments on HR and compliance matters.
- Maintain compliance-related documents, registers, certificates, and confidential employee and company records.
- Prepare regular HR and Compliance reports and provide necessary updates to management.
- Perform other HR and Compliance-related responsibilities assigned by management.
