Housekeeping Trainer

Context:

Modern Skill Development Center is a vocational training organization focused on delivering competency-based skills development programs aligned with the standards of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA). The center aims to equip trainees with practical, industry-relevant skills to improve their employability and professional capabilities.

 

As part of its training initiatives, the center is seeking qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Part-Time Housekeeping Trainer, responsible for delivering practical and competency-based housekeeping training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical housekeeping training following relevant NSDA Competency Standards and CBTA methodology.

• Prepare lesson plans, training materials, practical demonstrations, exercises, and assessment tools.

• Train participants in room cleaning, bed making, bathroom sanitation, public-area cleaning, laundry, linen management, and waste management.

• Ensure compliance with OHS, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

• Conduct formative and summative assessments according to NSDA guidelines.

• Monitor trainee attendance, performance, and competency development.

• Maintain attendance records, assessment documents, logbooks, and training reports.

• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of housekeeping equipment and training materials.

• Support monitoring, quality assurance, audits, and other NSDA compliance activities.

• Develop trainees’ workplace ethics, customer service, communication, teamwork, employability, and career development skills.

• Coordinate with the Training Manager to ensure effective delivery of training programs.
