Field Facilitator - Agriculture & Vermicomposting & Homestead Gardening (Humanitarian Crisis Response)

Implementation & Management of Field-Level Activities – 60%

• Ensure the effective implementation of all WFP-funded agriculture-related project components, particularly vermicomposting, homestead gardening, and aquaculture interventions.

• Conduct surveys and identify eligible rightsholders in accordance with project guidelines.

• Facilitate the formation and effective functioning of self-help groups.

• Organize and facilitate field-level training sessions and meetings for project participants.

• Support the project team in delivering technical assistance on agriculture, vermicomposting, homestead gardening, and livelihood-related activities.

• Engage beneficiaries in relevant interventions/CBT activities through MODA software.

• Develop individualized, needs-based, and appropriate household business plans.

• Conduct agriculture and livelihood assessments at both cluster and household levels.

• Introduce rightsholders to new agricultural technologies, including crop production, composting, homestead gardening, mushroom cultivation, livestock, and fisheries, and encourage their adoption.

• Assist in providing technical guidance for agriculture-related project activities.

• Develop customized IGA training plans based on individual needs.

• Conduct training on agriculture, income-generating activities (IGA), and business promotion for project participants.

• Provide necessary agricultural inputs and practical solutions to rightsholders.

• Regularly monitor and follow up on the IGA activities of project participants.

• Monitor and supervise field-level project implementation and activities.

• Evaluate IGA progress and establish linkages with local markets.

• Support the project team in implementing livelihood-related interventions.

• Collect and analyze information related to local livelihood contexts.

• Prepare and maintain service maps of the project/camp areas.

Advocacy, Networking & Communication – 20%

• Develop and maintain coordination with RRRC, CiC, government agriculture and livestock departments, and other service providers to connect project participants with relevant government and NGO services.

• Build partnerships with local government and NGO organizations and facilitate access to their services for project participants.

• Strengthen market linkages and promote opportunities for value addition through local markets.

• Strengthen existing community groups and local networks.

• Organize knowledge-sharing and technology-transfer sessions in collaboration with other livelihood stakeholders.

Reporting & Documentation – 10%

• Maintain accurate records, systematic documentation, and proper filing of project activities.

• Provide relevant information for monthly, interim, final, and sector-specific reports.

• Collect and document case studies and success stories from the field.

• Document best practices, lessons learned, and project achievements.

• Collect photographs and other visual documentation of agricultural activities.

• Maintain proper documentation, including event reports, success stories, and other relevant records.

Materials Development – 5%

• Develop flip charts, awareness materials, and other training resources for field-level sessions on agriculture, homestead gardening, vermicomposting, mushroom cultivation, aquaculture, poultry rearing, livestock management, and related topics.

• Develop training modules covering agriculture, homestead gardening, vermicomposting, mushroom cultivation, aquaculture, poultry rearing, livestock management, and other relevant livelihood activities.

Other Requirements – 5%

• Support other project activities and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by program management.

• Be willing and able to travel frequently, including extended stays in remote project locations.

• Promote a safe working environment by helping prevent and address harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, fraud, bribery, and money laundering, while providing relevant safeguarding support and guidance.

• Participate in seasonal programs, including Ramadan, Akika, and Qurbani initiatives, as well as emergency response activities when required.

• Understand and comply with Islamic Relief’s Child Protection and PSEA policies and respond appropriately whenever required.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager.
