The Premier Bank PLC., with 136 branches and 67 sub-branches nationwide, is expanding its network and banking services as part of its growth strategy. In line with its focus on corporate objectives, financial inclusion, and good governance, the Bank is seeking an experienced, strategic, and performance-oriented banking professional for the position of Head of Credit Risk Management (CRM) Division.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Bank’s credit risk framework, policies, risk appetite, and governance in line with Bangladesh Bank and Basel requirements.
Serve as the key credit risk advisor to senior management, Credit Committee, and Risk Management Committee.
Balance business growth with prudent risk management to maintain portfolio quality and sustainability.
Develop and regularly review credit policies, lending guidelines, sector exposure limits, and approval authorities.
Monitor portfolio quality, concentration risk, sector exposure, early warning signals, and stress indicators.
Analyze trends in NPLs, rescheduling, restructuring, write-offs, and recoveries, recommending corrective measures.
Review major and sensitive credit proposals submitted to senior management and Board-level committees.
Strengthen credit appraisal, risk grading, documentation, and pre/post-disbursement controls across Corporate, SME, Retail, and Trade Finance portfolios.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, loan classification/provisioning guidelines, Basel III, and audit requirements.
Oversee stress testing, ICAAP inputs, portfolio analytics, and regulatory risk reporting.
Identify emerging credit risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies with Business and Credit teams.
Provide strategic guidance on classified assets, recovery, rescheduling, restructuring, and compromise settlements.
Coordinate with Recovery, Legal, Business units, and CCO to reduce credit losses and improve cash recovery.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Credit Risk Management team across Head Office and branches.
Promote a strong risk-aware culture, proper segregation of duties, training, and knowledge sharing across the Bank.
