Job Summary:
The IT & Network Support Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization's IT hardware and network infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of all systems and network operations. The incumbent will provide hands-on support for end-users, manage inventory and technical documentation, and play a key role in the monitoring and administration of network components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Installation & Configuration
Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral equipment.
Set up and maintain networking devices including routers, switches, modems, firewalls, and access points.
Ensure proper implementation and ongoing support of LAN, WAN, and wireless network systems.
Install and configure operating systems, business-critical software, and drivers on all relevant hardware.
Network Administration & Security
Monitor and manage the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to network connectivity, bandwidth, and system access.
Regularly assess and implement network security measures including firewall rules, access control policies, and VPN configurations.
Maintain IP address management, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting protocols, windows Server, active directory, Biometric Device Management via various software
Maintain camera system configuration, EZVIZ, Hikvision (Portal and system Admin)
Last pass admin portal management, ERP/Attendance Management
Perform regular system backups and test disaster recovery protocols to ensure business continuity
Technical Support
Provide first and second-level technical support to internal users regarding IT hardware, software, and network issues.
Respond to service requests via the helpdesk system, prioritize based on impact, and resolve issues efficiently.
Execute routine maintenance, software updates, security patches, and firmware upgrades on all systems and devices.
Document troubleshooting processes and create knowledge base entries to enhance team efficiency.
Documentation, Reporting & Inventory Management
Maintain up-to-date records of all IT assets, hardware inventories, and network configurations.
Track and manage IT inventory, ensuring accurate records of equipment issuance, return, upgrades, and disposal.
Prepare detailed diagrams and documentation for physical and logical network topology.
Generate regular reports on system uptime, performance metrics, and incident response for management review.
Collaboration & Vendor Coordination
Work closely with the internal IT team and other departments to address evolving infrastructure and support needs.
Liaise with external vendors for procurement, warranty claims, and outsourced repairs.
Assist in evaluating new technology solutions, tools, or services relevant to the organization's IT strategy.
