Technical Trainer - Tailoring and Dress Making, FSSL, HCMP

Job Purpose

• Provide competency-based Tailoring and Dress Making training to Rohingya youth and adults, helping them develop practical vocational skills, enhance employability, and pursue income-generating opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct theoretical and practical Tailoring and Dress Making sessions in line with approved curricula and training plans.
• Demonstrate measurement, pattern making, fabric cutting, stitching, finishing, alterations, and garment construction techniques.
• Train participants in the safe and proper use, operation, and maintenance of sewing machines, cutting tools, and tailoring equipment.
• Prepare lesson plans, session plans, practical activities, and training schedules.
• Apply competency-based, participatory, and learner-focused training methods throughout the sessions.
• Assist in selecting participants based on established project criteria.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor participant performance and progress.
• Conduct regular theoretical and practical assessments to measure learning outcomes.
• Evaluate trainees’ skills and competencies against defined standards.
• Promote a safe and respectful learning environment by protecting programme participants, team members, and others associated with the organisation from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
• Provide guidance and support on safeguarding practices and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Promote safeguarding policies among team members and ensure compliance with required safeguarding standards throughout all training activities.
• Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incidents and encourage team members to report concerns appropriately.
