Technical Project Manager - Software Development

Experience Requirements

✔ Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience in software development project management.

✔ Proven experience managing software development projects involving web applications, mobile applications, APIs, databases, and modern software technologies.

✔ Hands-on experience in client communication, requirement gathering, expectation management, and end-to-end project delivery.

Required Skills & Competencies

✔ Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

✔ Strong business analysis, requirement engineering, and problem-solving skills.

✔ Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with developers and non-technical stakeholders.

✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bangla.

✔ Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Asana, or equivalent platforms.

✔ Strong documentation, presentation, product demonstration, and prototyping skills.

Other Requirements

✔ Must be willing to travel within Bangladesh and internationally whenever required for client meetings, project discussions, and business purposes.

✔ Must be comfortable attending client meetings and leading requirement discovery sessions and solution discussions.

✔ Must be flexible enough to handle business analysis and other project-related responsibilities whenever necessary.

✔ Must be capable of independently managing assigned responsibilities while maintaining close coordination with company management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Delivery Management

✔ Manage the complete software development lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and project planning to execution, delivery, and post-launch support.

✔ Prepare project plans, delivery roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation strategies.

✔ Track project progress, identify potential risks, address bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

✔ Coordinate with development, UI/UX, QA, and other relevant teams to ensure effective project execution.

✔ Implement and maintain structured project management practices using appropriate tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

✔ Ensure all project deliverables comply with agreed requirements, technical standards, and client expectations.

2. Technical Understanding & Solution Planning

✔ Collaborate with technical teams to understand system architecture, technical challenges, development methodologies, and implementation strategies.

✔ Participate in technical discussions and assess alternative solutions based on business requirements, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

✔ Act as a communication bridge between clients, business stakeholders, and software development teams.

✔ Ensure technical decisions, solution designs, and implementation strategies remain aligned with project goals.

3. Client Management & Business Analysis

✔ Communicate with local and international clients to understand their business requirements, expectations, and challenges.

✔ Conduct client meetings, requirement discovery sessions, and project discussions, including occasional onsite visits.

✔ Analyze business needs and convert them into clear, structured, and actionable software requirements.

✔ Recommend appropriate technology solutions and business process improvements based on clients' actual requirements.

✔ Manage client expectations, provide regular project updates, resolve concerns, and maintain strong professional relationships.

✔ Participate in project proposals, solution presentations, and cost and resource estimation when required.

4. Business Analysis, Documentation & Prototyping

✔ Perform business analysis activities and support requirement management throughout the project lifecycle.

✔ Prepare and review SRS, BRD, functional specifications, user stories, workflow diagrams, process maps, and other project-related documentation.

✔ Develop or coordinate wireframes, interactive prototypes, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and functional demonstrations to present proposed solutions.

✔ Ensure all requirements are properly documented, validated, and communicated to the development team.

✔ Maintain consistent documentation standards across all project phases.

5. Team & People Management

✔ Lead, motivate, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional software development teams.

✔ Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, transparency, and effective communication.

✔ Evaluate team performance, identify skill gaps, and encourage continuous learning and professional development.

✔ Address interpersonal and operational challenges to maintain smooth team coordination.

6. AI Adoption, Innovation & Process Improvement

✔ Utilize modern AI tools and technologies to enhance project management, business analysis, documentation, research, prototyping, communication, and overall productivity.

✔ Identify opportunities to incorporate AI into internal workflows and software development processes.

✔ Promote responsible and effective AI adoption across different teams.

✔ Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry developments, software engineering practices, and innovative solutions.

✔ Introduce practical strategies to improve operational efficiency, development quality, and team productivity.

7. Software Product Development

✔ Collaborate with management and technical teams to plan, develop, enhance, and launch the company's own software platforms and products.

✔ Contribute to product discovery, requirement analysis, feature prioritization, product roadmap planning, and release management.

✔ Ensure software products are developed in line with international standards for quality, usability, security, and scalability.

✔ Take ownership of product development milestones and coordinate relevant teams to achieve planned targets.

✔ Identify opportunities to enhance existing products and develop new technology-driven solutions.

8. Organizational Growth & Continuous Improvement

✔ Identify gaps in existing workflows, project management practices, internal communication, and software delivery processes.

✔ Recommend and implement practical improvements to strengthen workplace culture, operational efficiency, and software quality.
