Responsibilities & Context

  • Lead formulation development activities, starting from feasibility assessments and pre-formulation studies, and develop new products following a Quality by Design (QbD) approach.
  • Prepare product formulations and registration dossiers in CTD format for submission to regulatory authorities, including documentation such as specifications, formulations, process sheets, and Drug Master Files.
  • Conduct and oversee the production of laboratory, stability, pilot, and optimization batches for new formulations, and actively participate in process validation as part of the validation team.
  • Develop technology transfer protocols to ensure smooth transition of manufacturing processes to the Production Department.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for product development activities and equipment, ensuring adherence to cGMP, safety standards, QMS, and documentation compliance.
  • Supervise team members in executing R&D analytical activities, including analytical method development, while ensuring compliance with cGLP practices and regulatory requirements for analytical and product development facilities.
