Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - Business Development

Experience Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or Customer Relationship Management.

• Mandatory experience in the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry.

• Candidates with experience in Freight Forwarding companies, Shipping Lines, NVOCCs, Airlines, or Logistics organizations will be preferred.

• A proven track record of acquiring new clients and achieving business targets will be an added advantage.

Additional Requirements

• Strong existing customer network with regular shipment volumes.

• Proven ability to generate new clients and develop business opportunities.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong expertise in customer relationship management.

• Highly target-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively under pressure.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong command of written and spoken English and Bangla.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the Freight Forwarding and Logistics sector.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.

• Conduct regular client visits and business meetings to promote company services and generate sales opportunities.

• Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate, cost-effective logistics solutions.

• Prepare and submit competitive freight quotations in coordination with the Pricing and Operations teams.

• Follow up consistently on client inquiries, quotations, and prospective business opportunities.

• Negotiate commercial terms and successfully convert potential leads into confirmed business.

• Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, customers, and internal teams to support business development activities.

• Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate records of client visits, sales activities, quotations, leads, and business opportunities.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify potential business growth areas.

• Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales/business targets.

• Maintain excellent customer service and strengthen client relationships to ensure long-term customer retention.
