Senior Designer, Design

 

• Experience working with UK-based customers will be an added advantage.

• Proven experience dealing with international buyers and designers.

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good knowledge of garment construction, woven fabrics, and raw material sourcing.

• Strong understanding of global fashion trends and high-street brands.

• Good leadership, coordination, and team management skills.

Job Context

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end product development for assigned brands, covering design coordination, sample development, buyer communication, raw material sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration. The position will ensure products are developed according to brand requirements while maintaining quality standards and meeting agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete product development process for assigned brands under the guidance of the HOD.

• Collaborate with the HOD to understand and execute design briefs.

• Develop design and product sample presentations based on customer mood boards.

• Prepare professional tech packs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Communicate with buyers, designers, and sourcing offices regarding product development requirements.

• Coordinate design specifications with the CAD team and work closely with the sample room to ensure accurate and timely execution.

• Ensure finished samples meet required brand quality and design standards.

• Source, select, and book raw materials (RM) for sample development and maintain proper sourcing records.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Marketing, Production, and other cross-functional teams to maintain a consistent brand image and smooth development process.

• Perform other duties relevant to the role as assigned by Management.
