Responsibilities & Context
- Dispense medicines and healthcare products according to valid prescriptions and applicable pharmacy guidelines.
- Accurately interpret doctors’ prescriptions and verify medicine details before dispensing.
- Ensure the correct medicine, dosage, strength, form, and quantity are provided.
- Assist customers by providing basic product information and professional service.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels, shelf organization, and product displays.
- Regularly inspect medicine batch numbers and expiry dates.
- Identify and separate expired, damaged, or near-expiry products and report them to the appropriate authority.
- Generate customer bills and invoices through pharmacy POS or billing systems.
- Maintain accurate daily records of sales, cash collections, and transactions.
- Receive incoming medicines and verify quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, and invoices.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO methods to ensure proper inventory rotation.
- Coordinate with the Pharmacy In-Charge and relevant departments regarding medicine availability and stock requirements.
- Ensure the pharmacy remains clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Respond to customer questions and complaints in a professional manner.
- Comply with organizational policies, pharmacy regulations, safety procedures, and ethical standards.
- Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the Pharmacy In-Charge or management.
