Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to teach medical students and effectively manage academic classes.
• Good proficiency in ICT tools, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong command and fluency in English.

• Conduct practical demonstrations and tutorial sessions.

• Prepare class schedules and clinical placement schedules.

• Organize and conduct examinations and prepare relevant reports for the Education Department.

• Monitor student attendance in lectures and clinical placements and maintain accurate leave records.

• Coordinate and facilitate classes conducted by visiting professors from other institutions.

• Review and evaluate student logbooks.

• Support Wet Lab training by assisting RMOs and students with microscope orientation and basic surgical procedures.

• Coordinate and collaborate with other academic and medical institutions, including BMU.

• Provide academic and professional counseling to students as required.

• Perform other academic duties as assigned by the Director of Education or Deputy Directors of the Education Department.

Routine Responsibilities under the Medical Services Department (in collaboration with the Education Department):

• Provide consultation and treatment to patients with general ophthalmic conditions.

• Perform common ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, subject to evaluation, authorization, and ongoing monitoring by the Medical Services Department.
