Project Manager

✔ PMP Certification: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA will be considered an advantage.

✔ Construction Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the construction field, including at least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager.

✔ Large-Scale Building Project Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as Project-in-Charge (PIC) of a building project with 10 or more stories along with basement(s).

✔ Finishing Works & Interior Design (ID): Candidates must have experience in at least one project where they were directly involved in all types of finishing works, including Interior Design (ID).

As part of its continued growth and commitment to creativity, innovation, and excellence, STS Group Bangladesh is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead the Glenrich Extension Project. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in civil project execution, construction supervision, quality control, material management, design standards, and construction safety practices, along with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Role Overview

The Site Project Manager (PM) will be the on-ground custodian of project execution, responsible for coordinating and supervising Civil, MEP, and Interior Design works at the project site. The role involves ensuring that daily site activities are completed smoothly, safely, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project programs, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Site Mobilization: Ensure timely mobilization of labour, materials, plant, and equipment at the site according to the approved construction program.

✔ Site Execution & Issue Resolution: Identify and promptly resolve on-site execution bottlenecks, escalating matters to the HOP when decisions beyond site authority are required.

✔ Progress Monitoring: Monitor daily progress of Civil, MEP, and Interior works against the approved program and report variances to the HOP along with appropriate corrective action plans.

✔ Project Planning & Coordination: Plan, direct, and coordinate all designated construction project activities to ensure compliance with approved cost and time deadlines, from project inception through commissioning.

✔ MS Project Schedule Management: Ensure regular updating of the Microsoft Project (MSP) Schedule, track project milestones, and support timely project completion.

✔ Property Standards & Quality Audits: Ensure current and future corporate properties maintain required benchmark standards through regular physical audits and compliance with established quality checklists.

✔ Budget & MIS Management: Ensure strict adherence to approved project budgets and develop project-wide analytics of key operational ratios along with weekly MIS reports for top management review.

✔ Stakeholder Coordination: Conduct and participate in relevant meetings with clients, architects, consultants, vendors, agencies, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful achievement of project deliverables.

✔ Technical Support & Advisory: Provide comprehensive technical advice when required, resolve project-related issues, and support management with appropriate operational recommendations for informed decision-making.

✔ Quality & Drawing Compliance: Ensure all Civil, MEP, and Interior works are executed strictly according to approved drawings, specifications, and required quality standards.

✔ Risk & Delay Management: Identify anticipated delays, resource shortages, and design gaps well in advance and take necessary actions to prevent project schedule slippage.

✔ Contractor Work Certification: Certify contractor work progress at the site for measurement and billing purposes, for onward processing by the Quantity Surveyor through the HOP.

✔ RFI Management: Raise, monitor, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) related to design or technical ambiguities affecting site execution.

✔ Site Accountability: Act as the single point of on-site accountability for all matters related to physical project progress and site management.

✔ Project Implementation: Oversee project proposals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), staffing, and support infrastructure requirements to ensure smooth project implementation.

✔ Project Management Standards: Implement relevant global-standard project management protocols and recommend suitable software and tools for effective project planning and control.

✔ Material & Procurement Coordination: Coordinate project materials, equipment, and inventory supply, management, and procurement with relevant departments.

✔ Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and project-specific regulatory requirements, including construction permits, special project approvals, fire department clearances, labour laws, environmental requirements, health and safety regulations, and other applicable standards.

✔ HSE Compliance: Ensure strict implementation of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) protocols across the project site for all trades and contractors.

✔ Contractor & Subcontractor Management: Supervise and manage site-based Civil, MEP, and Interior contractors/sub-contractors to ensure performance in accordance with contractual requirements.

✔ Third-Party Compliance: Ensure all contracted third parties maintain required legal and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.

✔ External Stakeholder Engagement: Implement stakeholder engagement plans to minimize construction-related interference and risks, along with effective grievance redressal mechanisms for external stakeholders.

✔ Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other project-related duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Management/Board.
