Responsibilities & Context

Applications are invited for the position of Professor in the Department of English (English Language and Linguistics), Faculty of Social Science and Humanities (FSSH) at USTC, in accordance with the university’s prevailing terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses as per USTC policies.
  • Conduct research, organize faculty workshops, and promote national and international academic collaborations.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with UGC, BAC, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Develop course outlines, lesson plans, lecture materials, tutorials, and schedules; and conduct theoretical, tutorial, laboratory, and extension teaching along with related research and field activities.
  • Oversee examinations and perform all related duties.
  • Supervise and mentor students in projects, internships, dissertations, and theses.
  • Guide students in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Perform administrative duties assigned by the কর্তৃপক্ষ from time to time.
  • Ensure academic standards and discipline, address student affairs, and carry out responsibilities in line with the Private University Act 2010.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities, including publications, to advance knowledge in the relevant field.
