Educational Qualification

      • At least 1 year of experience in donor-funded or development projects as a:

        • Health Assistant
        • Paramedic

        will be preferred.

      • This position is open to Bangladeshi nationals only.
       
       

Responsibilities & Context

The role is focused on ensuring accessible and quality primary healthcare services in field settings by providing treatment, emergency support, health screenings, referrals, and community health awareness services while maintaining ethical and professional healthcare standards.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare services, administer first aid, and deliver emergency medical support in the field when required.
  • Conduct regular health screenings and patient triage based on urgency.
  • Identify critical health cases and ensure timely referrals to advanced healthcare facilities.
  • Manage health camps and conduct community awareness sessions on important health topics for slum communities.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records and medical service documentation.
  • Follow strict hygiene, infection prevention, and ethical medical practices in challenging field environments.
  • Manage patient flow during high patient volume periods and ensure efficient use of medical supplies, medicines, and equipment.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of team members from harm, abuse, harassment, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Provide guidance and support on safeguarding practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Promote and implement safeguarding policies and standards in all activities.
  • Behave consistently with BRAC’s values, brand identity, and organizational protocols.
  • Follow safeguarding reporting procedures and encourage others to report incidents appropriately.
