Alfamart, a well-established international convenience store chain and one of the largest retailers in its home market, is now operating successfully in Bangladesh and expanding its retail presence at a rapid pace.

We are looking for energetic, customer-oriented professionals for the role of Outlet In-Charge / Assistant Outlet In-Charge to manage daily store operations and ensure high standards of customer service.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing overall outlet activities, supervising staff performance, maintaining product availability and merchandising standards, handling cash and sales transactions, and ensuring full compliance with company policies and operational procedures. The role also includes driving sales targets, monitoring inventory control, and ensuring an excellent shopping experience for customers.

Job Purpose

To manage store operations efficiently in line with established procedures, ensuring increased sales, improved customer satisfaction, and achievement of company-defined store targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle staffing activities including interviewing potential candidates, ensuring grooming and presentation standards, and supporting performance evaluations in coordination with HR
• Ensure smooth execution of goods receiving and administrative processes
• Maintain proper merchandising standards and product display across the outlet
• Analyze sales performance and forecast product-wise and overall store sales trends
• Supervise loading and unloading of goods for delivery operations
• Oversee stock counts and ensure inventory audits are conducted as per guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-managed store and warehouse environment
• Ensure cash handling and deposit procedures are accurately followed as per company protocols
• Monitor and manage damaged or lost inventory items
• Inform customers about ongoing promotions, campaigns, and special offers
• Supervise customer service quality to enhance overall shopping experience
• Monitor staff performance and development, including training and knowledge improvement
• Plan and manage store cash budgets and report financial allocations to senior management
• Ensure fast, accurate, and courteous payment processing at all times
• Maintain proper cashier and store documentation according to company standards
• Conduct regular meetings with outlet teams and represent the store in discussions with senior management
• Address staffing needs including recruitment, grooming standards, performance reviews, and team development
• Ensure strict confidentiality of company information in accordance with information security policies
