Officer/Sr. Officer – Quality Control (QC)

✔ Candidates with experience in Poultry Feed, Fish Feed, Shrimp Feed, Cattle Feed, Animal Nutrition, or Agro Industries will be given preference.

✔ Strong knowledge of feed manufacturing processes and quality control systems.

✔ Good understanding of laboratory testing procedures, sampling methods, and quality inspection techniques.

✔ Sound knowledge of feed raw materials, nutritional analysis, and quality specifications.

✔ Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, GLP, and other food/feed safety and quality management standards.

✔ Ability to interpret laboratory test results, technical reports, and quality data accurately.

✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

✔ Good communication, documentation, and report preparation abilities.

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

✔ Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.

Job Context

The Officer / Sr. Officer – Quality Control will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished feed products through laboratory testing, inspections, and strict compliance with company quality standards. The role supports production by maintaining product consistency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing effective quality control procedures to achieve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Inspect and collect samples of incoming raw materials for quality evaluation.

✔ Perform physical, chemical, and laboratory tests in accordance with established quality control procedures.

✔ Verify raw materials against approved specifications and quality standards.

✔ Identify, document, and report non-conforming raw materials and coordinate corrective actions.

✔ Coordinate with the Procurement, Store, and Production departments to resolve material quality issues.

✔ Conduct in-process inspections and quality testing during production.

✔ Verify formulation accuracy, production process parameters, and product consistency.

✔ Monitor critical quality parameters, including moisture content, pellet durability, particle size, and other laboratory test results.

✔ Ensure finished products comply with nutritional specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

✔ Approve or reject finished products based on established quality standards and laboratory findings.

✔ Maintain laboratory records, QC reports, inspection registers, test results, and other quality documentation accurately.

✔ Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reports to management.

✔ Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

✔ Support initiatives to reduce quality complaints, production losses, and product wastage.

✔ Ensure compliance with company quality policies, food/feed safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

✔ Perform any other quality control or laboratory-related responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Manager or Management.
