Responsibilities & Context

  • Coordinate with all departments to provide transportation support as required.
  • Ensure proper use, regular maintenance, and timely repair of all light vehicles and trucks (both company-owned and leased), maintaining high standards of transport safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation, including vehicle registrations, insurance, logbooks, daily inspection reports, and other compliance documents.
  • Manage fuel requests and maintain fuel stock levels—whether through in-house fuel storage (fuel farm) or third-party supplier agreements.
  • Oversee inventories of spare parts and ensure availability of fuel, oil, and essential vehicle supplies.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports on fuel consumption, vehicle usage, maintenance “work orders,” and other relevant data.
  • Install, operate, and maintain the Vehicle Management System (VMS); ensure accurate and timely data entry and generate necessary operational reports.
  • Train, supervise, and monitor drivers to ensure adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Serve as the liaison with external authorities including BRTA (Bangladesh Road Transport Authority), local police (Thana and Highway), and other relevant government bodies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure all transport-related documents are up to date and properly maintained.
  • Submit daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly vehicle and transport performance reports to the appropriate authority.
