Network Engineer (Technology)

Practical experience with Cisco routers, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, and NGFWs, preferably Sophos.

Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, ACL, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.

Experience with STP, EtherChannel/LACP, Link Redundancy, HA, and NMS.

Basic knowledge of network security, firewall policies, IPS/IDS, SSL VPN, and security best practices.

Strong troubleshooting, performance analysis, and root cause analysis skills.

CCNA preferred; CCNP, Sophos certification, or equivalent will be an advantage.

Good communication, analytical, teamwork, and independent problem-solving skills.

Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, and firewalls.

Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, VLANs, Inter-VLAN Routing, ACLs, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and VPNs.

Manage Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs, firewall policies, and network security controls.

Monitor network performance using NMS and ensure network availability, stability, and optimal performance.

Manage Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, including STP, EtherChannel/LACP, and link redundancy.

Perform network troubleshooting, performance analysis, and root cause analysis to resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.

Configure and maintain Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and implement appropriate security policies.

Ensure network security, high availability, and reliable connectivity across the organization.

Maintain network documentation, configurations, and operational records.

Coordinate with internal teams and provide technical support for network-related issues and projects.
