Medical Support Staff (Ward Boy)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and cleanliness across hospital wards and premises.

• Clean and disinfect wards, patient beds, toilets, trolleys, stretchers, and service areas.

• Assist patients with movement, personal hygiene, bathing, toilet use, and hospital arrangements.

• Support meal distribution and provide necessary assistance to patients and attendants.

• Ensure water availability for handwashing and clinical activities where required.

• Properly handle and dispose of hospital waste and contaminated materials.

• Assist in maintaining sterile conditions in the Operation Theatre and support instrument sterilization.

• Maintain supplies of sterilized gauze, dressing materials, and surgical instruments.

• Promote cleanliness and assist with visitor/crowd control within the hospital.

• Escort patients to relevant treatment areas and transport deceased patients to the morgue.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
