Manager - Fisheries (Project)

• Applicants should be 30 to 45 years of age.
• Candidates with experience managing multiple fish ponds, large-scale aquaculture projects, or integrated fisheries operations will receive preference.
• Strong technical knowledge of aquaculture production systems, fish nutrition, water quality management, fish health, and disease prevention is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, and project management capabilities with the ability to lead field operations effectively.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient farm management and operational improvements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage operations at remote project sites whenever required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and team management skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with field staff and stakeholders.

Remi Farms Ltd., a sister concern of Bitopi Group, is inviting applications from experienced and qualified professionals for the position of Manager – Fisheries at its Trishal, Mymensingh facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading fisheries operations, ensuring efficient farm management, and achieving sustainable production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for fisheries operations to ensure sustainable production and profitability.
• Oversee all aspects of fish farming, including pond preparation, stocking, feeding, water quality monitoring, fish health management, and harvesting activities.
• Prepare annual production plans, operational schedules, and departmental budgets to support business objectives.
• Monitor key production indicators such as fish growth, survival rates, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and overall farm productivity, taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with biosecurity protocols, environmental standards, and all applicable government regulations related to aquaculture.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor Fisheries Officers, Supervisors, and field staff to achieve operational efficiency and production targets.
• Introduce and implement modern aquaculture technologies, innovative farming techniques, and industry best practices to improve productivity.
• Coordinate the procurement of fish fry, feed, medicines, equipment, and other essential resources required for smooth farm operations.
• Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, operational costs, and performance metrics for effective monitoring and reporting.
• Prepare periodic operational and project progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Maintain effective communication with government agencies, research institutions, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders to support fisheries operations.
• Ensure proper maintenance of ponds, hatchery facilities (where applicable), equipment, and other farm infrastructure to maximize operational efficiency and longevity.
