Responsibilities & Context

Manage and monitor Artha Rin Adalat, execution, cheque-dishonor, CIB, civil, criminal, and writ cases involving the Bank.

Represent the Bank in subordinate courts, tribunals, and the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

Draft, review, and vet legal notices, pleadings, writ petitions, and appeal filings.

Support asset possession, auctions, sales, and security identification to accelerate recovery.

Evaluate facts, jurisdiction, and legal risks to guide case strategies and settlements.

Review title chains, land vetting reports, mortgages, powers of attorney, and security documents.

Coordinate with external panel lawyers and track case progress.

Maintain litigation MIS, case files, and prepare progress reports.

Relevant experience handling Artha Rin Suits, Jari Suits, N.I. Act cases, Writs, Criminal Misc. Cases, Title Suits, Money Suits, and CIB cases at a bank/NBFI legal division or reputed law chamber.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required for an Officer position.

Preference for at least 2 years of experience in the Legal Division or Litigation Unit of a bank or financial institution.

Enrollment with the Bangladesh Bar Council is strongly preferred, with High Court Division practice permission receiving extra weight.
