Law Officer, Legal Division

Handle legal proceedings against defaulting clients, including drafting, filing, follow-up, and supporting recovery actions.

Represent the Bank in civil and criminal cases before subordinate courts and the High Court Division.

Coordinate with external legal counsel and Panel Lawyers and monitor ongoing cases.

Draft and review contracts, deeds, agreements, bank guarantees, written statements, and legal notices.

Liaise with courts, law chambers, and relevant government/non-government authorities on legal and regulatory matters.

Provide legal opinions and guidance to branches and departments on compliance, regulatory, and contractual issues.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, including responding to Bangladesh Bank queries.

Conduct legal research and risk assessments to identify and minimize potential legal exposure.

Maintain accurate case records, court decisions, legal documents, and status reports for Management and regulators.

Perform other legal duties assigned by the competent authority in the Bank’s interest.
