Responsibilities & Context
- Sample Testing and Analysis: Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, immunology, and cytology.
- Quality Control (QC): Ensure accuracy and validity of test results by running controls, calibrating instruments, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
- Data Management & Reporting: Document all procedures, analyze findings, and report results to physicians in a timely manner.
- Specimen Handling: Collect, process, and prepare blood, tissue, and other clinical samples for laboratory testing.
- Lab Management: Supervise lab assistants/technicians, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection control protocols.
