Responsibilities & Context
Job Summary:
IT Support:
- The IT Support & Network Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network security, and optimizing system performance. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering excellent IT support.
IT Support:
- Provide first-line technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other IT systems.
- Document IT support issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist with software updates, patch management, and system upgrades.
- Conduct user training sessions and create documentation for common IT issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
- Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
- Perform network performance analysis and optimization.
- Assist in managing cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Implement and enforce IT policies and best practices for network security and data protection.
- Perform routine system monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards.
- Respond to cybersecurity threats and work to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Conduct periodic IT audits to assess system performance and security.
- System administration support for Outlook, Gmail, or any email domain.
- Work closely with other IT team members to implement new technologies and system improvements.
- Assist in IT infrastructure projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement.
