This position is responsible for providing reasonable assurance to the Audit Committee of the Board that effective and efficient compliance policies and procedures are in place, properly understood, and consistently followed across the organization. The role also ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Oversee the Internal Control and Compliance (ICC) Division and ensure effective operational governance.
Ensure implementation of core risk management frameworks and full compliance with regulatory, legal, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines issued by Bangladesh Bank and BFIU.
Conduct regular internal audits and prepare audit reports for Management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.
Follow up on audit findings and recommendations to ensure timely resolution and corrective actions.
Maintain and strengthen the organization’s internal control systems and compliance framework.
Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Manage the Complaint Cell and ensure proper handling and resolution of complaints.
Monitor regulatory updates, circulars, and policy changes to ensure organizational compliance.
Coordinate internal audits and Bangladesh Bank inspections effectively.
Ensure the company maintains strong compliance standards to support favorable credit and CAMELS ratings.
Liaise with regulators, auditors, and relevant stakeholders regarding compliance and audit matters.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by senior management from time to time.
