Responsibilities & Context

Job Context
The Business Development department is responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and building strategic partnerships. This role requires strong leadership, market analysis skills, and the ability to convert opportunities into profitable ventures. The position works closely with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable business expansion.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term business development strategies
  • Identify new markets, sectors, and business opportunities aligned with company goals
  • Prepare annual business plans, revenue forecasts, and growth targets

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential risks
  • Analyze industry developments and recommend strategic initiatives
  • Maintain a strong database of potential clients and projects

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and generate repeat business

Tendering & Proposal Management

  • Identify and evaluate local and international tender opportunities
  • Lead the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, and legal teams for bid submissions

Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with clients and partners
  • Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and profitability goals
  • Oversee deal closure and handover to project execution teams

Networking & Business Expansion

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking platforms
  • Develop strategic alliances, joint ventures, and partnerships
  • Explore new business areas for diversification opportunities

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with project, operations, finance, and HR teams
  • Ensure smooth transition from business acquisition to project execution
  • Monitor project pipeline and business performance

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the business development team
  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure team development
  • Foster a result-oriented and proactive work culture

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular business performance reports for top management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation of contracts and business activities
