Full-Stack TypeScript Developer (Remote, Full-Time)

Experience Requirements

- At least three years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.

Required Technical Skills and Competencies

The following skills are mandatory:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, which are essential for working across the Forge technology stack.

• Practical experience with Node.js for backend development and resolver implementation.

• Proficiency in React for developing custom UI components within the Atlassian Forge environment.

• Solid understanding of REST API design and integration, including Atlassian APIs and APIs used in client projects.

• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to handle structured data and external database integrations.

• Proficiency in Git, including branching, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.

• Strong written English communication skills for effective day-to-day collaboration.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to independently break down complex requirements.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment while managing time and responsibilities independently.

Preferred Skills

Experience with the following technologies and methodologies will be considered an advantage:

• PostgreSQL

• Automated testing using Jest

• Docker

• CI/CD pipelines

• NestJS

• AWS, GraphQL, Agile and Scrum methodologies, and Next.js

Additional Advantages

Candidates with any of the following experience will receive additional consideration:

• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Forge, Atlassian Connect, or previously published Marketplace applications.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Jira Service Management from a user's perspective.

• Experience integrating large language model (LLM) APIs, including Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor. The team uses these tools regularly, and productivity expectations reflect their use.

Working Style and Team Expectations

Plug & Solve is a small, fully remote team looking for a developer who can independently understand product requirements, ask relevant clarifying questions, and execute tasks effectively.

The founder will provide product direction, while the developer will be responsible for technical implementation and execution. Candidates should be comfortable working autonomously without constant technical supervision or detailed, line-by-line code reviews.

 

 

About Us

Plug & Solve (plugandsolve.com) is a US-based software product studio specializing in developing and managing its own applications for the Google Workspace Marketplace. The company is expanding into the Atlassian Marketplace by building applications on the Forge platform while also launching a developer staff augmentation service.

The Role

We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to take long-term ownership of the technical development and maintenance of both our in-house products and client projects.

When assigned to a client, you will work as an integrated member of their development team. Our clients are primarily software companies based in Germany and other European countries. During periods without client assignments, you will focus on developing and improving our own Marketplace applications, ensuring a consistent workflow and a diverse range of projects.

Client assignments follow the client's business hours, with a Monday-to-Friday work schedule and weekends off. Night shifts are not required, and time for Friday Jummah prayer will be respected.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to grow alongside a software product business and take genuine responsibility for the products they develop.

Working Hours and Start Date

• Work five days a week, totaling 40 hours.

• Enjoy flexible working hours when not assigned to a client.

• Maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with the client's core working hours during client assignments.

• No night shifts, with Friday Jummah prayer time protected.

• The selected candidate is expected to join as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

In-house Product Development

• Develop applications for the Atlassian Marketplace using the Forge platform.

• Manage the complete software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and specification to deployment and post-launch improvements.

• Build custom UI components using React for applications running within Jira and Confluence.

• Develop backend functionality using Node.js and TypeScript, including Forge resolvers and Forge storage.

• Integrate applications with Jira REST APIs, Confluence REST APIs, and external services such as LLM APIs and webhooks.

• Maintain and continuously improve live applications based on user feedback and product requirements.

Client Projects and Staff Augmentation

• Contribute to client projects as an integrated member of their development teams when assigned.

• Communicate professionally and clearly with clients regarding project progress, technical challenges, and delivery timelines.

• Proactively identify and report issues, risks, and blockers across both client assignments and internal product development.
