• Implement, monitor, and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) in compliance with ISO 14001 and other applicable standards.
• Ensure adherence to local environmental regulations, buyer requirements, and international compliance standards.
• Maintain all environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external EMS audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage all EMS-related documentation, procedures, records, and reports.
• Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses to ensure environmental compliance.
• Oversee wastewater treatment plant (ETP) operations and ensure optimal performance.
• Supervise controls related to air emissions, noise levels, water usage, and chemical handling.
• Manage waste segregation, storage, disposal, and recycling systems effectively.
• Monitor consumption of key resources such as water, electricity, fuel, and chemicals.
• Maintain EMS records, SOPs, procedures, and legal compliance registers.
• Prepare monthly environmental performance and sustainability reports.
• Maintain chemical inventory records, MSDS documentation, and related compliance files.
• Submit regular compliance reports to management and international buyers.
• Coordinate and support buyer audits (e.g., M&S, Inditex, C&A) related to environmental compliance.
• Prepare audit documentation and ensure implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
• Ensure compliance with standards such as WRAP, OEKO-TEX, HIGG (FEM), BSCI, SEDEX, ISO, GRS, and RCS.
• Conduct environmental awareness and compliance training programs for employees.
• Develop training materials focused on waste reduction, chemical safety, and energy conservation.
• Lead initiatives for energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction.
• Drive continuous environmental improvement and sustainability projects.
• Track and analyze sustainability KPIs and improvement plans.
• Oversee factory-wide environmental performance including waste management, effluent treatment, energy usage, water consumption, and chemical control.
• Coordinate with ETP, utility, engineering, production, and compliance teams for environmental control measures.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) EMS performance reports for management review.
• Liaise with government authorities, certification bodies, and buyers regarding environmental matters.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
