  • Hands-on experience applying INEE Minimum Standards and other relevant frameworks in Education in Emergencies (EiE).
  • Demonstrated ability to assess the capacity of Education Sector partners and design as well as implement capacity-building plans to enhance quality and effectiveness.

The Opportunity

As part of the Rohingya humanitarian response in Cox’s Bazar, Save the Children and UNICEF jointly lead the Education Sector under the Rohingya Coordination Platform (RCP). This sector ensures effective coordination of education-related preparedness and response efforts by engaging humanitarian partners to address the needs of Rohingya refugee and host community children.

The Education Sector Co-Lead (Coordinator) will play a key role in providing strategic direction and coordination to support a well-aligned, multi-agency response in accordance with humanitarian coordination frameworks and global Education in Emergencies (EiE) standards. The role involves close collaboration with UNICEF as co-lead, RCP, government bodies such as RRRC and relevant education authorities, UN agencies, NGOs (both international and national), donors, and community stakeholders.

This position will support sector partners in conducting needs assessments, strategic planning, information management, advocacy, and resource mobilization to ensure education interventions are well-coordinated, inclusive, and aligned with sector priorities.

Additionally, the Coordinator will strengthen connections between camp-level education activities and sector coordination systems, build the capacity of partner organizations, promote localization efforts, and encourage data-driven decision-making across the sector.
