Draftsman - Architecture

✔ Age: 25 to 35 years.

✔ Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman in an architectural consultancy, real estate developer, or construction environment.

✔ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing architectural and construction drawings.

✔ Working knowledge of SketchUp or 3Ds Max will be considered an added advantage.

✔ Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, building materials, and drafting standards.

✔ Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings accurately.

✔ Experience preparing working drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, and approval drawings.

✔ Familiarity with RAJUK and Cantonment Board drawing submission requirements will be considered an advantage.

✔ Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.

✔ Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical drafting abilities.

✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, and site personnel.

✔ Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines while maintaining drawing quality and accuracy.

Job Context

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced AutoCAD Draftsman with a strong architectural background to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise architectural and interior working drawings, construction documentation, and approval drawings while ensuring compliance with project requirements, design standards, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Prepare accurate architectural drawings and technical details using AutoCAD based on design sketches, SketchUp models, markups, or verbal instructions.

✔ Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, layout drawings, and construction documents for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

✔ Prepare comprehensive architectural working drawings for both building and interior design projects.

✔ Modify, revise, and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site conditions, and client requirements.

✔ Prepare RAJUK and Cantonment Board approval drawings in accordance with relevant rules, regulations, and submission requirements.

✔ Coordinate closely with Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure drawing accuracy and design consistency.

✔ Assist in preparing construction documentation, detailing, and material layouts for project execution.

✔ Maintain organized drawing files, project documentation, revision records, and digital archives.

✔ Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams to incorporate site feedback, revisions, and as-built information into drawings.

✔ Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, drafting standards, and company quality requirements.

✔ Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and coordination before submission or construction.

✔ Support the design team with drafting, documentation, and other project-related technical tasks as assigned.

✔ Perform any other drafting or technical responsibilities assigned by the Management.
