DevOps Engineer

Strong hands-on experience in Linux system administration, particularly with Ubuntu, Debian, or CentOS.

Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and system management tasks.

Solid understanding of Git and experience working with Git-based development and collaboration workflows.

Practical experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.

Good working knowledge of Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Understanding of MQTT and IoT architecture, including communication flows from devices through gateways/edge systems to cloud platforms.

Knowledge of backend development and API concepts, with experience in Laravel or Node.js considered preferable.

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, firewalls, and reverse proxy configuration.

Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; knowledge of MongoDB would be an advantage.

Strong production troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach, accountability, and an ownership mindset.

Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application, firmware, and edge-software releases, ensuring automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

Administer Linux servers, VPS environments, and cloud infrastructure while maintaining strong cybersecurity practices, including Nginx/Apache, SSL/TLS, firewalls, SSH, networking, and access control.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerized environments using open-source technologies such as Terraform and Ansible, with Docker and Kubernetes/K3s as required.

Deploy and manage IoT infrastructure and messaging platforms, including MQTT brokers such as Mosquitto, covering device provisioning, connectivity, authentication, fleet monitoring, and OTA/firmware updates.

Integrate and maintain industrial IoT devices and systems, including Modbus RTU/TCP, ESP32/ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, relays, industrial controllers, sensors, and actuators.

Deploy, operate, and monitor IoT backend systems and real-time dashboards using Laravel, Node.js, or comparable technologies, with effective logging, monitoring, alerting, data validation, message-flow monitoring, and device uptime tracking.

Maintain secure and dependable multi-site production environments through robust authentication, certificate and secrets management, database encryption, troubleshooting, automation, backups, scalability, documentation, and close collaboration with development, firmware, and hardware teams.
