Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Information Security.
Professional certifications such as CISSP and CISM are highly desirable.
Experience:
Over 15 years of professional experience in IT and cybersecurity within the banking sector, including a minimum of 5 years in IT operations and 5 years in cybersecurity leadership roles.
Technical & Functional Competencies:
Strong expertise in Security Operations Center (SOC), risk management, payment security, incident response, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
Hands-on and leadership experience with security technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, WAF, PAM, and VAPT.
Proven track record in compliance management for PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and SWIFT CSP in banking environments.
In-depth understanding of banking, financial services, and regulatory security requirements.
Experience in vendor management, procurement of security tools, and contract oversight.
Develop and continuously enhance the Bank’s cybersecurity and information security strategy in alignment with business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
Establish, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and governance frameworks in compliance with Bangladesh Bank ICT Guidelines and international best practices.
Lead risk assessments, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and cyber threat monitoring programs.
Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, and Bangladesh Bank regulations, driving certification and related compliance initiatives.
Design and maintain the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and Disaster Recovery framework according to Bangladesh Bank standards and ISO 22301.
Oversee cybersecurity operations, including Security Operations Center (SOC), threat intelligence, monitoring, detection, and response.
Define and manage security architecture and technology stack to ensure effective integration across systems.
Supervise implementation and management of security tools, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, WAF, API security, DLP, PAM, VAPT, threat intelligence, and web/email security solutions.
Ensure proper logging, monitoring, correlation, and retention of security events.
Lead cyber incident response, digital forensics, crisis management, and regulatory reporting.
Oversee data protection, encryption, key management, and secure system configurations.
Manage cybersecurity budgets, strategic roadmaps, vendor relationships, and third-party risk assessments.
Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness programs, training sessions, and phishing simulations.
Report on cybersecurity posture, tool effectiveness, incidents, and key risk indicators (KRIs) to senior management and the Board.
