Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS)

What You’ll Do

✔ Build, maintain, and optimize REST APIs using NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript

✔ Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL databases using Prisma or similar ORM technologies

✔ Implement scalable multi-tenant architecture and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

✔ Develop queues, background jobs, and event-driven workflows to support reliable and scalable backend operations

✔ Integrate third-party services including payment gateways, KYC platforms, e-signature services, SMS, email, and other external APIs

✔ Develop and maintain secure authentication, OAuth, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), authorization, and access control systems

✔ Write and maintain unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application reliability and security

✔ Create and maintain clear API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI

✔ Manage Docker-based development and deployment environments, CI/CD pipelines, and application releases

✔ Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug production systems, APIs, databases, and backend services

✔ Collaborate closely with frontend developers, mobile developers, QA engineers, and other technical team members

Must-Have Skills

✔ Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript

✔ Hands-on experience with NestJS and backend application development

✔ Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design

✔ Practical experience with Prisma or similar ORM technologies

✔ Solid understanding of REST API development and API architecture

✔ Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation

✔ Working knowledge of Redis, queues, background jobs, and asynchronous processing

✔ Experience using Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development

✔ Practical knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and software deployment

✔ Working knowledge of Linux, Nginx, server configuration, and application deployment

✔ Good understanding of web application security, authentication, authorization, and software testing

Bonus Skills

✔ Experience with Apache Kafka, microservices architecture, WebSockets, payment gateway integrations, Kubernetes, or Terraform

✔ Experience working with SaaS platforms, fintech applications, financial technology solutions, or other high-scale software products

✔ Knowledge of scalable, secure, and distributed backend system architecture will be an advantage
