Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with drivers, workshop staff, and management.
Thorough knowledge of BRTA rules and regulations.
Skills
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on company vehicles following manufacturer guidelines and established schedules.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments, including oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Coordinate major repairs with external workshops, ensuring quality and timely completion.
Allocate vehicles for indoor and outdoor use efficiently.
Maintain comprehensive records of vehicle service history, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance costs.
Monitor fuel consumption and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance by tracking vehicle registration, insurance, and fitness certificates.
Analyze fleet data to identify trends and provide recommendations for vehicle acquisition or replacement strategies.
Manage timely renewal of documentation, licenses, and registrations.
Review and verify transport-related bill vouchers.
Oversee driver leave management and hire transport as needed.
Evaluate driver performance and overall transport utilization.
Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards and comply with road safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections and identify potential hazards.
Educate drivers on proper vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices.
Prepare and manage the vehicle fleet maintenance budget.
Negotiate repair costs with external service providers.
Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Interpret vehicle schematics and technical manuals accurately.
Evaluate new vehicle models and recommend purchases based on performance and operational needs.
