Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of experience
  • Applicants should have experience in the hotel or hospitality sector
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years managing a sales team
  • Experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities & Context

General Summary:
Manages the sales of the company’s products and services within a defined geographic area, province, or country. Ensures consistent and profitable growth in sales revenue through effective planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to enhance both short-term and long-term sales and earnings.


Core Functions:

  • Establish and recommend realistic sales goals for the company
  • Manage an assigned geographic sales area or product line to maximize revenue and achieve corporate objectives
  • Develop and manage programs to compensate, coach, appraise, and train sales personnel

Details of Function:

  • Conduct sales activities for major accounts and negotiate prices and discounts
  • Manage personnel and develop sales and sales support staff
  • Review the progress of sales roles across the company
  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams
  • Develop plans to ensure revenue growth across all company products
  • Provide quarterly assessments of sales staff productivity
  • Coordinate company resources to achieve efficient and stable sales results
  • Formulate sales policies, practices, and procedures
  • Assist sales personnel in establishing contacts and rapport with top-level decision-makers
  • Collaborate with Hotel Sarina Dhaka to develop strategies to improve market share across all product lines
  • Interpret short- and long-term effects of sales strategies on operating profit
  • Educate the sales team through programs and seminars covering new account sales, emerging products, multi-product sales, profitability, presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use of sales support, expense management, and contract financials
  • Collaborate with Hotel Sarina Dhaka to establish and control budgets for sales promotions and trade show expenses
  • Review expenses and recommend cost-saving measures
  • Conduct regular meetings with sales staff
