Responsibilities & Context
- Oversee and manage the overall operations of the agro-farm, ensuring efficient performance across all farming activities.
- Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of all staff groups, including Monitoring, Nutrition & Health, Livestock Production, and Farm Operations Support teams.
- Ensure effective workforce allocation and arrange alternative staffing solutions when required.
- Monitor livestock health and ensure timely medical treatment, vaccination, deworming, and artificial insemination programs.
- Supervise the health and nutrition team to provide proper care and continuous monitoring of sick animals.
- Oversee feed formulation and mixing activities to ensure quality standards and accurate daily feed distribution.
- Manage inventory and ensure timely procurement of feed, medicines, equipment, and other farm inputs.
- Supervise fodder and grass cultivation activities, including land preparation, fertilization, irrigation, harvesting, and silage production.
- Develop strategies to ensure year-round availability of quality fodder and feed resources.
- Manage cattle purchasing and sales activities while ensuring profitability and compliance with company standards.
- Oversee milk collection, packaging, distribution, and supply chain operations to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
- Maintain and update records related to milk production, livestock health, breeding performance, operational expenses, and inventory management.
- Prepare regular operational, production, and performance reports for management review.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of farm infrastructure, utilities, and machinery to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Implement and monitor biosecurity measures, sanitation practices, and workplace safety standards throughout the farm.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the relocation of the existing farm to the new facility with minimal operational disruption.
- Support the establishment and management of new agricultural sectors and expansion projects at the relocated site.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the In-Charge or Management from time to time.
