SMC Labs is a research and development company specializing in fault tolerant high-performance transaction processing and communication technologies. Our mission is to deliver unlimited scalability to traditional and emerging service infrastructures. SMC Labs' groundbreaking work in Active Content Addressable Networking (ACAN) and Statistical Multiplexed Computing (SMC) has paved the way for a new era of financial services, high performance computing, mission-critical services and AI applications.

Our journey began in the early 1990s with research into Stateless Parallel Computing, driven by the need for reliable high-performance mission-critical service infrastructures. This research laid the foundation for ACAN and SMC, a paradigm shift in software engineering intended to harness all available resources and deliver scalable performance, reliability, and security. SMC Labs initiated research into decentralized mission-critical databases, further solidifying our commitment to building resilient and secure systems.

Over the years, SMC Labs has achieved several significant milestones, including the issuance of a European patent for ACAN/SMC design in 2022 and a US patent in February 2023. These patents validate our innovative approach and foundational contributions in computer science. They also highlight the potential impact of the technologies in practical applications. The emergence of blockchain technology provided a unique opportunity for service infrastructure to adopt tamper resistant high performance transaction processing. In 2023, SMC Labs filed provisional patents for SMC blockchain and SMC Gateway, demonstrating our continued dedication to pushing the boundaries of technological innovation.
