SLOPB Bangladesh

Motalib and Ingrid were deeply moved by the impoverished living conditions of their family and other residents of their village. Motivated by a strong sense of humanity and compassion, they felt compelled to contribute to improving the lives of the broader community in the surrounding areas.

Upon returning to the Netherlands, they founded Stichting Land Ontwikkelings Project Bangladesh (SLOPB-Bangladesh) on January 6, 1995, to turn their vision into reality. Through this foundation, Ingrid and Motalib began raising funds to provide long-term support not only for Motalib’s biological family but also for the wider community in Bauphal Upazila. The initiative was later extended to Dashmina Upazila under Patuakhali District and Bakerganj Upazila under Barisal District.
