Job Context The IT Operations Center Administrator is responsible for monitoring Gildan’s global systems and software applications to ensure smooth and reliable operations. The role also oversees data backups and batch schedules, supports global data center operations, and requires strong technical knowledge along with a clear understanding of business processes and system interdependencies to effectively handle operational issues. Key Responsibilities Monitor software applications and IT business processes to identify technical issues. Monitor data backups, file restoration, and offsite backup transfers. Support the monitoring and maintenance of data center facilities and equipment, including HVAC, generators, and fire suppression systems. Take ownership of technical incidents and ensure timely resolution. Monitor production and batch jobs to ensure timely and error-free completion. Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT teams and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate software application deployments and report deployment errors to developers. Maintain accurate Operations Status Reports for each shift. Respond to operational queries with a strong understanding of business processes. Keep IT infrastructure policies and procedures updated. Ensure continuous Data Center security and compliance.

Ensure optimum plant productivity and operational efficiency by implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies in compliance with the GQS (Gildan Quality System). Identify and measure different forms of lean waste, and implement Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to improve processes and product quality. Enhance production efficiency by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks within the production flow. Calculate SMV/SAM/Cycle Time through time studies, method studies, workflow analysis, capacity studies, and ergonomic assessments. Develop standardized product/process layouts, space utilization plans, work instructions, labor utilization standards, and cost analyses using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Kaizen techniques. Identify Non-Value-Added (NVA) activities and Non-Productive Time (NPT) and reduce them through appropriate Industrial Engineering (IE) tools. Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of all required GQS procedures, work instructions, and operational formats. Execute assigned cost-saving and process improvement projects as directed by the supervisor. Train and develop direct and indirect workers in accordance with established SOPs and work standards. Compare existing working methods with established standards, identify low-efficiency workers, and develop appropriate progressive, preventive, and corrective work instructions in coordination with management. Support engineering activities related to new employee recruitment, orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation. Recommend and implement Kaizen strategies to optimize facilities, improve ergonomics and workplace safety, and eliminate operational waste. Prepare and submit required reports and performance updates to the respective supervisor. Perform other operational and engineering-related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

  Execute material planning for both imported and locally sourced materials based on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements. Coordinate with the PDD team on new developments and ensure timely execution of new styles, colors, and trim items. Manage LC processing through the Commercial team, monitor LC expiry dates, and track shipments to avoid discrepancies or delays. Coordinate procurement activities while ensuring compliance with Gildan policies, procedures, and purchasing requirements. Review purchase orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company instructions and commitments. Ensure all procured materials meet the quality specifications and standards provided by the Quality Department. Monitor and support the achievement of assigned ESG goals related to trims and materials. Track raw material consumption and regularly coordinate with the Operations team to maintain accurate usage records. Perform other procurement, material planning, and related responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor.
