IT Officer - Super Market

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of POS software, inventory management systems, and retail technology solutions.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in hardware, software, networking, and related IT systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple technical and operational issues effectively.

• Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

• Willingness and flexibility to visit outlets or business locations whenever required.

Experience Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in IT Support, preferably within supermarket, retail, FMCG, ERP, POS-based, or similar business environments.

Ziska Pharmaceuticals Limited, a reputed pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of IT Officer for its newly launched venture, Fair Price Super Market.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT support for supermarket operations, including POS systems, billing applications, inventory management software, barcode solutions, and other related applications.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, barcode scanners, POS terminals, CCTV systems, and other IT equipment.
• Ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of retail technology systems and related infrastructure.
• Monitor and maintain POS applications, product databases, pricing information, system configurations, and user access permissions.
• Support data integration and synchronization between sales, inventory, billing, and reporting systems.
• Implement and monitor regular data backup procedures while ensuring the security and integrity of operational data.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, software errors, and other technical problems.
• Monitor system performance and maintain proper records of IT issues, troubleshooting activities, maintenance, and service requests.
• Coordinate with software vendors, hardware suppliers, internet service providers, and other technical service providers for troubleshooting and support when necessary.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and day-to-day assistance to supermarket employees regarding the proper use of software, POS systems, and IT equipment.
