Additional Requirements

  • At least 3 years of full-time experience in Skills Development/TVET Management.

  • Proven expertise in employment support, training facilitation, career services, project management, entrepreneurship development, or pedagogy training.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience collaborating with key stakeholders in the skills development and apprenticeship sector, such as BTEB, NSDA, and relevant private sector partners.

  • Experience in implementing or managing national or large-scale apprenticeship or work-based learning programs will be treated as an added advantage.

Applications are invited from candidates with experience in the fields of development sector for the recruitment of staff for the post of "Employment Support Officer" for the duration of the project under the project titled “Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE)” being implemented by this organization with the financial support of PKSF and the World Bank.

Workstation : Head Office, Dhaka. But extensive field visit is required.

Project Area : Dhaka, Gazipur, Chattogram, Nilphamari, Patuakhali, Jeshore, Khagrachari, Bandarban, Rangamati, Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi, Brahmanbaria, Faridpur, Maymensingh, Barishal and Kushtia District.

Job Type and Duration: Project/Contractual and Project Duration is up to June, 2026. Which is renewable every year subject to receipt of budget allocation from PKSF in light of satisfactory.

Responsibilities of the position of "Employment Support Officer"

a) Career Preparation & Counseling

  • Provide individual and group counseling during and after training.

  • Help apprentices set career goals and plan accordingly.

  • Conduct sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, workplace behavior, etc.

  • Coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification where applicable.

b) Employment & Entrepreneurship Support

  • Match graduates with job or self-employment opportunities.

  • Guide apprentices on business startup and ling them with financial and support services.

  • Guide apprentices and Y ME in developing business plans, financial literacy and basic business management skills.

c) Employer & Industry Engagement

  • Build partnerships with local employers and industries.

  • Organize recruitment events, job fairs and on-site interviews.

d) Placement Tracking & Monitoring

  • Keep records of job placements and follow up on job status and satisfaction.

  • Maintain an updated database and track career progress.

e) Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work with MCPS, POs, local government and others to create a supportive employment ecosystem.

F) Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain records, prepare regular progress reports and document success stories.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support Community Outreach and Mobilization, especially for marginalized groups (e.g. girls, PWDs, ethic minorities).

  • Oversee enrollment, motivation and mentoring of apprentices.

  • Facilitate access to entrepreneurship training, financing and wider job markets.

  • Promote gender equity, inclusion and safeguarding in all activities.

  • Support research and data collection like tracer studies an labor market assessments.

  • Any other project-related responsibilities assigned by the management as required.

The salary and applicable benefits (if any) are inclusive of all government-imposed taxes. All applicable taxes will be deducted at source as per the rules of the Government of Bangladesh.
