Additional Requirements
Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in a similar communications/media role, preferably within an NGO/Humanitarian sector or social impact organization.
Technical Skills:
-Proficient in content writing, editing, and storytelling.
-Hands-on experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
-Basic graphic design proficiency (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
-Photography and videography skills with knowledge of editing tools.
-Understanding of SEO and website content management systems.

Responsibilities & Context
1. Media Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
- Coordinate in press releases, interviews, and media briefings to promote LEEDO’s work.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.
2. Social Media Management
- Design and implement effective social media strategies across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
- Create and schedule regular posts to engage supporters and stakeholders.
3. Content Creation & Storytelling
- Develop impactful content (written, graphic, photo, and video) highlighting LEEDO’s work.
- Capture and craft success stories from projects, especially from vulnerable and street-connected children.
- Ensure all communications align with LEEDO’s tone, brand, and mission.
4. Website Management
- Regularly update the LEEDO website with fresh content, event coverage, news, and visuals.
- Optimize content for accessibility and SEO.
- Coordinate with web developer team on improvements.
5. Campaign and Event Promotion
- Lead digital communications for fundraising events and advocacy campaigns.
- Ensure wide media and public reach through innovative messaging and visuals.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies.
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports with key performance indicators.7. General Communication Support·
- Draft presentations, speeches, and materials for LEEDO’s leadership.
- Support internal communications to keep staff updated and engaged.
8. Visual and Creative Content Production
- Take and edit high-quality photos and videos to document LEEDO’s fieldwork.
- Design basic graphics (posters, flyers, social media visuals) using tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Apply creative typography and layout skills to enhance content presentation.
