Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer with deep expertise in identity, API security, and cloud-native architectures. This role will drive the design and deployment of secure systems, lead authentication strategy, and ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory standards. You will guide teams in building resilient, secure microservices within containerized and multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and lead the architecture of secure, scalable Node.js/TypeScript microservices.
Define, implement, and enforce organization-wide API security best practices.
Architect and deploy authentication/authorization flows using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and WebAuthn.
Build and manage secure services in AWS, Azure, or GCP, including multi-region deployments (preferred).
Manage Kubernetes-based workloads with strong security practices (network policies, pod security) (preferred).
Apply Zero Trust principles and enforce fine-grained IAM policies.
Configure and oversee API gateways, including WAF, rate limiting, JWT validation, and access control.
Promote DevSecOps practices by embedding SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning in CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
Enforce TLS, mTLS, key rotation, and encryption for data in transit and at rest.
Integrate security telemetry with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace).
Lead security incident response, remediation, and root cause analysis.
Mentor engineering teams on secure coding practices, cloud security, and containerized system design.
Partner with compliance teams to ensure alignment with PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001, and related standards.
