Age at least 30 years. High level of integrity, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels. ​Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bangla. ​Proven experience in ​VAT/ Tax related Works. Adequate knowledge on MS Office package especially in Advanced MS Excel. Experience of working with ERP or ​VAT software Possess compliance mindset and innovation focus. Ability to handle complex situations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities & Context

  • Accurately record and manage all VAT transactions using NBR-approved VAT software, ERP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensure the timely issuance of Tax Invoices (Mushak-6.3) at all sales points.
  • Prepare and submit Value Added Tax Returns (Mushak-9.1) on a monthly basis in compliance with applicable laws and deadlines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly and annual VAT and income tax returns, including the preparation of all required supporting documentation.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities to enhance compliance and optimize tax positions in coordination with the finance team.
  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accurate representation of tax obligations.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping of all income tax-related documents and transactions in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Regularly maintain and update VAT software, ensuring its data accuracy, functionality, and compliance with current tax laws.
  • Maintaining liaison with VAT/ Tax or other regulatory authority
  • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.
