Ensure all tools used in speech and language therapy are clean, functional, and well-maintained.
Review consultant prescriptions carefully before administering any therapy.
Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to initiating therapy sessions.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, therapy progress, and outcomes.
Provide clear explanations of therapy techniques, tools, or equipment before beginning treatment.
Advise patients to hand over valuables to their attendants (for both outpatient and inpatient cases).
For unconscious patients, ensure valuables are removed in the presence of the assigned nurse or attendant.
Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers on preventing further complications or disabilities related to the illness.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic rehabilitation services.
Report any incidents or emergency codes immediately and ensure proper recording.
Notify consultants, the In-charge, or HOD without delay in case of emergencies related to patient care.
Adhere strictly to instructions provided by the In-charge and HOD.
Carry out additional tasks as assigned in accordance with departmental policies and regulations.
