Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong proficiency in Spring Boot, SQL, Groovy, and AWS to join our innovative development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining advanced backend systems and cloud-native applications. This role requires solid problem-solving abilities and a commitment to building scalable, secure, and high-performing software in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices using Spring Boot and Java technologies.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, manage database schemas, and work with stored procedures.

• Develop and maintain Groovy scripts for automation and system integration.

• Deploy and manage backend applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related services).

• Integrate backend services with both internal and third-party RESTful APIs.

• Ensure systems are built for scalability, performance, security, and availability.

• Take part in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and agile sprint activities.

• Diagnose and resolve production-level issues with a focus on identifying root causes.

• Work collaboratively with teams including frontend, DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• In-depth experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.

• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Proficient in Groovy scripting, with experience in frameworks like Grails considered a plus.

• Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud services including IAM, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch.

• Familiarity with REST API design, JSON data formats, and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

• Previous exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure coding standards.

• Solid debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
